方曉佳
Johnny Fong

⽅曉佳在2008年至2023年出任⾹港⼩交響樂團單簧管⾸席。⽣於⾹港，⽅氏於⾹港演藝學院師隨史安祖，2006年完成學⼠課程。及後⽅氏獲⾹港賽⾺會⾳樂及舞蹈基⾦贊助，前往紐約曼尼斯⾳樂學院深造，師隨奈迪克與⼤島⽂⼦，並於2008年獲頒碩⼠學位。

⾃2004參加亞洲青年管弦樂團後，⽅氏成為活躍的特約樂⼿，曾為⾹港⼩交響樂團擔任客席⾸席，⽬前仍不時參與⾹港管弦樂團演出及擔任澳⾨樂團客席⾸席。曾合作指揮家包括迪華特、哥美⼠安拿、湯淺卓雄及葉詠詩等。除了在兩岸三地演出外，他亦曾於世界多個地⽅演奏，包括美國、加拿⼤、法國、意⼤利、⽇本、新加坡、菲律賓及⾺來西亞。

2009年1⽉，Artists International Presentation Award為⽅氏舉辦了其紐約卡內基⾳樂廳⾸演，於韋爾廳演出⼀場獨奏會。 2010 年，他於樂團的上海世博會⾳樂會《⼠兵的故事》(⾹港周閉幕節⽬)中擔任獨奏。⽅氏曾於通利琴⾏合作舉辦單簧管⼤師班及講座。曾為⾹港浸會⼤學、⾹港中⽂⼤學⾳樂系及⾹港教育⼤學之單簧管導師，同時非常單簧之⾳樂總監，致⼒推廣單簧管⾳樂。

⾃2022年4⽉起，⽅氏移居英國倫敦，並繼續他的⾳樂⽣涯。除了教學⽣外，⽅氏曾擔任Northern Ballet Sinfonia的客席單簧管⾸席。

Original from Hong Kong, Hiu Kai Johnny Fong is the principal clarinet in the Hong Kong Sinfonietta between 2008 to 2023. Fong received his Bachelor in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2006, studied with Mr. Andrew Simon. In 2008, under the support of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund, Fong received his Master Degree in Mannes College, The NewSchool of Music, studied with Mr. Charles Neidich and Miss Ayako Oshima.

After joined the Asian Youth Orchestra in 2004, Fong started his career as a freelance orchestral player. He has currently played with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as being invited as the guest principal clarinet of the Macao Orchestra and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Fong has worked under the baton of Maestro Edo de Waart, Sergiu Comissiona, Takuo Yuasa and Yip Wing-Sie. Fong has performed throughout the world including the main citys in Asian, Europe, South America, North America, as well as the Carnegie Hall Stern Auditorium in New York.

As a soloist, Fong recently gives his recital in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He was one of the winners in the concerto competition held by Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2004, played the Copland Clarinet Concerto with the Academic Symphony Orchestra. In 2006, Fong won the same competition and played the Second Concert Piece for Clarinet and Basset Clarinet by Felix Mendelssohn.

Presented by the Artist International Presentation Inc., Fong makes his début solo recital in the Carnegie Hall Weill Hall, New York in January 2009. He was a featured soloist in the orchestra’s Expo 2010 Shanghai Concert (Hong Kong Week Closing Performance).

Fong has held clarinet masterclasses and lectures in Tom Lee Music. He taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Baptist University of Hong Kong and the Education university of Hong Kong. Fong is also the music director of Clarinetissimo, a clarinet institution which aims to promote clarinet culture in Hong Kong.

In April 2022, Fong has moved to London and continuous his career as musician. Besides teaches students, he played with the Northern Ballet Sinfonia as guest principal clarinet.
